Helge Theiss-Nyland -
President
Helge was born in Norway and graduated with a degree in mechanical
engineering. He moved to the United States in 1982 where
he was employed by Gayner Engineering of San Francisco. He then
spent the next five years in their design department working on
various projects including Chevron, U.C. Berkeley and Stanford.
He was hired as an estimator for South City Mechanical and later
moved to Allied Heating and Air Conditioning as their estimator. He
founded Bay City Mechanical in 1992 and the company has grown to
become a hard bid/design negotiated company doing $18-$20 million
annually.
Chris Cochrane - Vice President Of
Finance
Brought up in Scotland, Chris graduated with a law degree from St.
Andrews University. He then went on to qualify as a Chartered
Accountant and worked for Coopers and Lybrand as an audit manager in
the Middle East for six years. In the early eighties Chris joined
United Technologies based in Brussels. He performed internal audits on
Carrier Air Conditioning and Otis Elevator Operations throughout
Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In the mid-eighties Chris joined Marvais Steel Company in
Luxembourg as their European controller and was soon transferred to
the Bay Area as their Group Controller (Pinole Point Steel Company)
There, after Chris joined Allied Heating & Air Conditioning as
Controller/Treasurer and gained useful experience, he founded Bay City
Mechanical, Inc. together with Helge in
1992. |
